The 1993 Year Group of the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST) junior High School has donated 11 brand new set of computers and accessories to their school. The donation also formed part of their maiden visit to the School after they completed.
On behalf of the alumni, Ms. Vivian Offeh, Secretary of the Year Group, said the donation is to add up to existing computers in the school’s computer laboratory. She stated that Information Communication Technology tools have become an integral part of our lives in a globalised society. It was in that light therefore, that alumni both home and abroad decided to donate the computers. Ms. Offeh hoped the donation will go a long way to facilitate teaching and learning.
Professor Mrs. Rita Akosua Dickson, Board Chairperson of the Board and management of the University expressed the University’s appreciation to the old students for giving back. She also appealed to other year groups to continue to support the School.
Reverend Mrs. Irene O. Nkansash, Head of Basic schools, also expressed her appreciation to the 1993 year group for their support. She revealed that they had earlier on donated a set of jerseys, football and funds towards the University Basic School’s Association (UBaSSA) Games hosted by KNUSt last year. Rev. Mrs. Nkansah dedicated the computers.
